LAWN INSTALL IN NEW LONDON

When homeowners add new features to their property, it often means the surrounding yard needs some attention as well. That was the case with this project in New London, where a new patio had recently been installed and the concrete work left the lawn needing a complete refresh.

Our team stepped in to rebuild the yard and create a smooth, healthy lawn that would complement the new patio space. The first step was leveling the area and hauling in fresh topsoil to build a solid base for the new lawn. Once the soil was in place, we completed the finish grading to ensure the yard had proper slope and drainage.

With the grading complete, we worked the soil to prepare it for planting and completed full seed preparation across the property. The lawn was then seeded and carefully finished with erosion matting (EMAT) to help protect the seed, hold moisture, and encourage strong, even grass growth.

In total, this project covered 20,000 square feet of lawn installation, transforming the yard into a clean, level space ready to grow into a thick, healthy lawn.

Projects like this show how important proper preparation is when installing a new lawn. From grading and topsoil to seed prep and erosion control, every step plays a role in creating a lawn that will establish well and last for years.
